Plymouth and District Junior Netball League (PDJNL) wouldn’t be possible without its fabulous Team White!

We take pride in developing umpires of all ages and supporting them on their officiating journey.

Umpires play a crucial role at every level of netball, from grassroots to elite competitions. England Netball provides a clear training and development pathway, starting with the  INTO officiating award (minimum age 13).

If you’re passionate about netball and complete this course, you can begin your journey as an umpire.

The Into Officiating Course consists of two online sessions, followed by practical experience and an
on-court assessment. The next step is the C Award, with full details available on the England Netball website.

Our PDJNL umpiring representatives, Jayne Dart-Cassidy and Cherry Roddy, are happy to assist with any umpiring-related enquiries. We offer junior match umpiring experience and support, mainly on Sundays at Ivybridge Tennis Centre.

We also use the Spond app for communication.

Contact us to join our Junior League umpiring group or for more information. We always look forward to welcoming new umpires to our team!

Know the Rules! A solid understanding of the rules is essential for both players and officials. Download the free World Netball Rules App to support your umpiring journey.
